The next update for Overwatch 2 will try to fix some characters that are too strong right now. This should be good news for tanks who have to face a Zarya with two bubbles or support players who are constantly being bothered by Sombra.

Overwatch 2's mid-season balance patch, which includes changes to D.Va, Genji, and Kiriko, is coming on November 15. This is before the game's second season when Blizzard is likely to make more changes.

Blizzard wrote about the upcoming changes to the game on the official Overwatch forums, explaining what changes will be made and why.

The changes target Sombra, Genji, Zarya, D.Va, and the new ninja-themed support, Kiriko. The full list of changes is as follows:
Overwatch 2
– Hack ability lockout duration reduced from 1.75 to 1.5 seconds – Hacked enemies are no longer valid targets for hacking for the duration of the effect – Hacked damage multiplier reduced from 40 to 25%
Sombra
– Maximum ammo reduced from 30 to 24 – Shuriken damage reduced from 29 to 27
Genji
– Barrier duration reduced from 2.5 to 2 seconds – Barrier cooldown increased from 10 to 11 seconds
Zarya
It looks like Blizzard went too far because her new double bubbles have made her a bit of a raid boss who is almost always safe.

The change to lower her uptime seems like a good way to calm her down without ruining the fantasy. D.Va, on the other hand, keeps her new and improved defensive matrix, but her damage and accuracy have been turned down a notch.
