Twitter announced tomorrow that its $8/month web subscription plan and $11/month iOS app subscription plan, known as Twitter Blue, will relaunch on Monday.

Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has criticized Apple's 15% to 30% cut from subscription fees paid through the App Store as being too high. The higher price on iOS helps to make up for this.

After their account has been reviewed and they have verified their phone number, Twitter Blue subscribers will see a blue checkmark next to their name.

Other benefits include editing tweets, uploading videos with a higher resolution (1080p), and using Reader Mode to read tweet threads quickly.

The blue checkmark will temporarily disappear if subscribers modify their username, display name, or profile picture before their account is again reviewed.

After blue checkmark accounts were used to impersonate companies, celebrities, and other prominent people, Twitter halted new Blue subscriptions last month. Spending $8 was the only requirement to receive a blue checkmark.
