When Apple announced the Vision Pro in June at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), press members invited to try out the headset had the option of using a secondary head strap that sits across the top of the head as a secondary head strap.

In the promotional movies Apple created for the mixed-reality device, the strap can be worn. Despite this, none of the promotional materials for the product are mentioned in the attachment.

A dial for adjusting the size is located on the portion of the braided headband that wraps around the back of the head. Still, the one headband may need to be more comfortable or secure for certain users, particularly if the device will be worn for extended periods.

This is where the additional over-the-head strap comes in handy; it can be worn in place of the primary headband. However, Apple still needs to make the auxiliary head strap as comfortable as it may be.

According to a new report by Bloomberg, the extra strap was created after it was found through testing that some individuals with smaller body sizes and skulls struggle to wear the headset for longer than approximately thirty minutes at a time.

Gurman says that the design of the strap has "yet to be finalized," even though it has been discussed. After attaching the supplementary strap, in his perspective, the Vision Pro is "not that far off from other headsets in terms of weight."
