Recently, WhatsApp has been improving its user experience and expanding its features. One of the latest updates is testing status update sharing through the web user interface (UI) WhatsApp.
Ephemeral status updates have been a part of WhatsApp since 2020. This addition helped WhatsApp keep up with popular instant messaging apps like Snapchat and Telegram.
The introduction of WhatsApp Web allowed users to access their WhatsApp account from any device with a web browser.
Now, WhatsApp is taking a step forward by testing the ability to post status updates through the web UI. Testers at WABetaInfo have reported that the beta version 2.2353.59 of WhatsApp Web includes this functionality.
With the new update, you can save the hassle of transferring images and videos to your primary smartphone before posting them as status updates.
WhatsApp's web version can run an operating system with a compatible web browser, even if the feature isn't supported on WhatsApp's native client for that specific OS.
