Today, Apple added several 2013 and 2014 iMac models to its vintage and obsolete products list. These Macs were once considered vintage but are no longer supported and not eligible for repairs.

Late 2013 21.5 and 27-inch iMacs, the mid-2014 21.5-inch iMac, and the late 2014 27-inch Retina 5K iMac are some examples of obsolete Macs. The first 27-inch iMac with a 5K Retina display was released in late 2014.

It was then described as the "most insanely great Mac we have ever made" by Apple's Phil Schiller.

Apple declares it obsolete seven years after a product has yet to be sold. Service providers cannot order parts for obsolete devices, and all hardware support is discontinued for obsolete products. The 2013 and 2014 iMacs will only be able to be fixed with Apple parts.

Additionally, Apple designated the Apple Watch Series 2 as vintage today. The list of vintage products includes gadgets that Apple no longer sells and hasn't distributed for more than five and less than seven years.

Apple offers support and parts for older devices for up to seven years or as long as the law requires. Still, repairs depend on the availability of replacement parts.
