iPhone users in Australia will soon receive next-hour precipitation forecasts and notifications through the Weather app, as stated in an updated support document made available by Apple.

According to the paper, Australia, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States have access to precipitation forecasts and notifications for the next hour. Apple is the source of the information, and it was compiled using data from many national weather services.

Apple says the precipitation forecast for the following hour is "hyperlocal" and "down to the minute."

The Weather app for the iPhone may send a push message to the user if there is a chance of precipitation within the next hour, and it can also display how much precipitation is anticipated minute by minute.

Since the introduction of iOS 14 in 2020, the capability has been accessible to users in the United States. After acquiring the weather app Dark Sky in 2020, Apple completely redesigned its Weather app and added several new features.
