One of the few third-party apps with native support is the well-known skiing and snowboarding app Slopes, which added support for the Apple Watch Ultra's Action Button over the weekend.

Owners of the Apple Watch Ultra can program the Action Button to begin a workout using the Slopes app, making it simpler to start a skiing or snowboarding session.

Simply pressing the Action Button will cause the Slopes app to launch a workout automatically locating your resort or backcountry.

Popular apps like Strava still need more support for the Action Button, and only a few third-party apps offer it. Shortcuts can be used to launch apps and features. However, users will find it more convenient if developers incorporate the feature into their apps.

It supports many built-in Apple Watch features, including starting a dive, a workout, the stopwatch, adding a waypoint to the Compass app, starting a workout, turning on the flashlight, and starting a user-created shortcut.

Slopes can be downloaded for nothing from the App Store. Still, to access all features, you need a premium or day pass subscription. Slopes' creators frequently update the app to include new iOS features immediately.

Additionally, the app provides widgets, Live Activity support for Dynamic Island, and a Lock Screen, among other features.
