Entering a password on your PC can seem so archaic in the age of biometric access to mobile devices. To resolve this issue for his Mac, snazzy Labs decided to remove the Touch ID from a new Apple keyboard.

When it revealed its desktop silicon, Apple announced desktop keyboards and a Touch ID fingerprint reader. Although having fingerprint access to your computer is convenient, only some people like typing on Apple keyboards.

To keep the fingerprint reader close to the user's hands without having to tape a keyboard under his desk, he removed the logic board from the keyboard and constructed a new 3D-printed enclosure for the Touch ID button and logic board.
