The new Steam Autumn Sale offers some of the most well-liked games on Steam for just $0.99 each. The three games in question were all created by Valve, the Steam developer, who has produced some classic games over the years.

Even though Valve doesn't produce as many games as it once did, many of its older games are still played today and serve as inspiration for new ones. And the reason why is that they are of the highest caliber.

For instance, despite being 14 years old, Left 4 Dead continues to set the standard for first-person cooperative shooters, which is absurd. It is available for $0.99 until November 29, along with its sequel, Left 4 Dead 2.

This represents a savings of $18 since both typically cost $9.99. Many have tried to imitate the zombie games since they first came out, most recently Back 4 Blood and World War Z, but they have yet to match the magic these games had a couple of generations ago.

However, you can purchase these S-level games for $1. The original Portal game and its follow-up are each $1.

These two games and the Left 4 Dead series are some of the best ever created. One of the best-reviewed games is Portal 2, which has a 95 Metacritic rating.
