SNK has confirmed that Kim Kaphwan will officially join the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves roster. The “Crown Jewel of Taekwondo” arrives as the third fighter in Season Pass 3, titled “Destined for Revenge,” following the previous releases of Rick Strowd and Duck King.

This update completes a significant family narrative within the game. Kim Kaphwan’s return sees him joining his two sons, Kim Dong Hwan, who is part of the base roster, and Kim Jae Hoon, a Season 2 DLC character. The addition of the elder Kim establishes the full Taekwondo family tree in the first new Fatal Fury entry in over two decades.

Updated Purchasing Options and Voice Cast

With the launch of Season 3, SNK has adjusted its distribution model. While previous DLC characters were often restricted to full season pass bundles, characters starting with Season 3 are now available for individual purchase. This allows players to acquire Kim Kaphwan separately if they do not wish to commit to the full “Destined for Revenge” pass.

The character features a dual-language voice cast to maintain series continuity. Kim is voiced by June Yoon in the English version and Kunihiro Kawamoto in the Japanese version. For new players looking to catch up on the full post-launch lineup, the Revenge Edition bundle—which includes all three season passes—is currently priced at $49.99.

The Season 3 Roadmap and Crossover Content

Kim Kaphwan’s debut serves as the lead-in to a busy autumn schedule for the fighting title. Following Kim, the Season 3 roadmap includes a high-profile crossover with the manga and anime series Tokyo Revengers. In October 2026, guest characters Manjiro “Mikey” Sano and Ken “Draken” Ryuguji are scheduled to join the fray.

The October content drop is also intended to coincide with the digital launch of the game on the Nintendo Switch 2, currently slated for October 22, 2026.

Beyond the October crossover, SNK has revealed that Laocorn Gaudeamus will join the roster in November 2026. Laocorn’s inclusion is a rare nod to the franchise’s cinematic history, as the character originally appeared as the antagonist in the 1994 animated film, Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture. His arrival in November will further expand the Season 3 lineup, which continues to lean into the “Destined for Revenge” theme through both classic returns and unexpected guest appearances.
