Studio Wildcard released Ark: Survival Ascended update 1.093.026 (v93.26) on September 18, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The patch introduces significant balance adjustments for the Concavenator and resolves a persistent visual flickering issue specifically affecting Xbox players.
Concavenator Balance Changes
The Concavenator has received several mechanical adjustments to its sand-swimming and combat behavior. Players can now use explosive damage to stun tamed Concavenators while they are sand swimming, providing a direct counter to their underground mobility. To prevent immediate retreats, a new 10-second cooldown has been implemented before a Concavenator can re-bury itself after being stunned.
The creature’s dust cloud effect radius increased from 600 to 800. These changes shift the creature’s role by making it more vulnerable to heavy ordnance while increasing its zone-control potential.
General Fixes and Technical Improvements
This update addresses a notable graphical bug on the Xbox version where rocks would flicker continuously. This fix improves visual stability during traversal and resource gathering.
Other functional improvements included in version 93.26 target modded content and progression systems:
- Bounty Boards: These structures are now functional on modded maps, allowing for broader compatibility with community-created environments.
- Apprentice Bounties: A tracking error has been corrected, ensuring that milestone progress is recorded accurately.
- Megalab: Red element conversion recipes have been added to the Megalab.
Players can find further technical details regarding the ongoing version 93 rollout on the official ARK forums.
