Techland released Version 1.7 for Dying Light: The Beast on September 17, 2026, appearing as Update 2.000 for players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The update marks the start of the “Call of the Beast: 1st Anniversary Edition” celebration and delivers targeted technical fixes for PC and console hardware.

Call of the Beast Anniversary Event

The 1st Anniversary event officially begins on September 21 and is scheduled to run for three weeks. The centerpiece of the celebration is Crane’s Anniversary Drops, which features a 21-day reward calendar. By logging in during this period, players can collect store points, weapon blueprints, and various weapon skins.

To coincide with the update launch, a Double XP (2XP) weekend is active from September 18 through September 21. Players can also participate in community voting on the Pilgrim Outpost website to determine specific gameplay modifiers that will be applied to the Castor Woods region during future weekends.

According to the official release notes, players have until October 19 at 2:00 PM CEST to claim any missed rewards from the anniversary event.

Technical Fixes and Performance

This update addresses specific hardware-related issues that affected high-end PC users and PlayStation 5 players. The primary technical changes include:

  • RTX 40-Series Optimization: Fixed a screen tearing issue occurring on RTX 40XX cards when Ray Tracing and Frame Generation were enabled at the same time.
  • PlayStation 5 Stability: Resolved a bug causing significant FPS spikes during boss fights.

The 1.7/2.000 update is now live across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.
