DayZ Update 1.30 Patch Notes: New Motorbikes and Survival Mechanics Added

Published on:

Bohemia Interactive has released DayZ update 1.30 on September 16, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This update introduces the Jana 50 and the Bitrak 682 motorbikes, alongside refinements to survival mechanics and technical infrastructure.

New Vehicles: Jana 50 and Bitrak 682

The addition of the Jana 50 and Bitrak 682 motorbikes provides survivors with new mobility options. These two-wheeled vehicles offer a smaller profile than traditional cars. While they provide less protection than a sedan or truck, their agility affects how players approach scouting and transit between points of interest.

Gameplay Mechanics and Quality of Life

Update 1.30 focuses on environmental interaction and survival efficiency. Several new character actions and balancing changes have been implemented:

  • New Interactions: Players can now wash their face at water sources and wring out wet clothing.
  • Rainwater Collection: The speed at which barrels procure rainwater has been tripled in this update.
  • Weapon Variants: Four new color variants have been added for the Mosin, SKS, and CR-527 rifles.

Technical Updates and Bug Fixes

Bohemia Interactive has addressed a critical exploit that allowed clients to freeze in proximity to other players. Additionally, the Navmesh file formats have been updated in this version. This change is not backward compatible, meaning terrain modders must regenerate their files to remain functional with the 1.30 environment.

General Fixes

  • Resolved a specific exploit involving client-side freezes during player encounters.
  • Updated technical assets for improved server-client stability.

Known Issues

Bohemia Interactive has identified a known issue where bolt-action weapons may glitch out of character hands during the reload animation. Survivors should remain cautious when engaging in combat with bolt-action rifles.

The 1.30 update is a simultaneous deployment across all supported platforms, ensuring parity between the PC and console versions of the game.
