The announcement that Call of Duty Finally Lands on Switch 2 marks a historic return for the series to Nintendo hardware. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled to launch on October 23, 2026, across Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. This release follows a binding 10-year contract signed between Microsoft and Nintendo on February 21, 2023. The agreement ensures that the franchise remains available on Nintendo platforms with feature and content parity for the next decade. This debut is particularly notable as it represents the first time a Call of Duty title has appeared on a Nintendo system since Call of Duty: Ghosts was released on the Wii U in 2013.

Nintendo has previously stated that it would wait for the appropriate time for new hardware reveals, and this upcoming entry serves as a primary showcase for the new console. The development of the Switch 2 port is being handled by Digital Legends in close partnership with Infinity Ward to ensure the hardware is utilized effectively.

Performance Benchmarks and Technical Features

Early technical analysis suggests that the Switch 2 version aims for competitive performance.
