VOID Interactive has officially rolled out Ready or Not Update 1.001.008, also known as version 1.5, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. This release is a big step for tactical realism, adding a Mission Editor that gives players detailed control over their operations. Unlike earlier patches that just added new maps or guns, this update focuses on player freedom and platform stability, making sure console players get the same features as PC users at the exact same time.

The Mission Editor and S-Rank Implications

The main addition in Update 1.001.008 is the Mission Editor, found in the main menu for single-player and Friends-Only sessions. The tool features Basic and Advanced tabs to tweak mission settings. The Basic tab lets you toggle NPC spawn points and set a Door Trap Count. The Advanced tab goes deeper, allowing adjustments to Shielded Melee Damage Multipliers and the odds of a Suspect Death by Suicide.

These variables have a direct impact on the S-Rank scoring system. For instance, increasing the Door Trap Count requires a much slower approach, as missing a trap can instantly ruin a high-scoring run. The Suspect Death by Suicide parameter also introduces more risk; if this percentage is high, it becomes harder to reach S-Ranks, which require suspects to be taken alive. Much like the mechanical adjustments seen in the R6 Siege Update 1.000.151 Patch Notes: Operation Split Fire, these variables force teams to change their Rules of Engagement based on the situation.

Home Invasion DLC and Free Weapon Cosmetics

This update gives back to the community by releasing three free cosmetic styles for weapons originally tied to the Home Invasion expansion. The MK-V ‘HC’ (Hard Chrome), the 590M ‘FDE’ (Flat Dark Earth), and the M32A1 ‘LSPD’ (LSPD Blue) rotary grenade launcher are now available to everyone. This decision brings the Triple Weapon Pack into the base game experience for all players. This kind of post-launch care is similar to what we’ve seen in the Mafia: The Old Country Update 1.011 Patch Notes & Fixes, where the focus remains on polishing existing content.

Console Parity and Technical Refinements

A key part of the 1.001.008 patch is reaching console parity. Usually, tactical shooters see long delays between PC and console patches, but VOID Interactive launched version 1.5 simultaneously on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. This update fixes platform-specific bugs, like the ‘Eye of Providence’ achievement on PlayStation 5 and the ‘Nosce Te Ipsum’ trophy logic. Xbox players who had trouble with crashes during the Epic account linking process will find those fixed as well.

Regarding gameplay balance, the 6.5×48 JHP ammo got a lethality buff to match other calibers. Players who like to follow meta shifts will find the BF6 Update 1.000.029 Patch Notes: Version 1.4.2.5 Guide helpful for seeing how small damage tweaks can change the flow of a fight. Beyond ammo, the update fixes a frustrating AI bug where suspects would stop reacting, breaking the surrender mechanic and forcing players to use lethal force when they didn’t want to.

Level-Specific Fixes and Known Issues

The team also cleaned up several maps. In ‘Station,’ they fixed clipping in holding cells and an issue where rifle mags showed up in NPC shotguns. The ‘Narcos’ mission now has a working TV with bullet physics, and ‘A New America’ fixed curtain desync between hosts and clients. One known issue: the Mission Editor might spawn active shooters even if they are turned off. The current fix is to toggle a different suspect type to reset the logic. VOID Interactive noted this is just the first version of the editor, with more options coming in later updates.
