NEIGHBORS: Suburban Warfare has officially graduated from Early Access, launching its 1.0 version as a free-to-play title. The party brawler is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, marking a significant transition from its initial $9.99 paid model.
Developed by Invisible Walls, the studio behind the social deduction game First Class Trouble, the 1.0 release introduces a variety of new content and systems to the suburban-themed chaos. The launch also enables full cross-play support, allowing players on different platforms to compete or cooperate in the game’s signature destruction-focused matches.
New Content and Gameplay Updates
The 1.0 update introduces Gwen, a new playable neighbor, alongside a fresh house map for players to navigate. While earlier descriptions often categorized the title as a shooter, the launch version clarifies its identity as a party brawler. The gameplay centers on a unique “Destruction” mode where the primary objective is to demolish the opponent’s home while fortifying one’s own property using various combat mechanics.
According to the official launch announcement, the shift to a free-to-play model is intended to expand the player base across all platforms while maintaining specific incentives for those who supported the title during its development phase.
Rewards for Early Access Supporters
Players who purchased the game during its Early Access period, which began in April 2025, are receiving a legacy package to acknowledge their financial support. These rewards are designed to provide immediate access to content that new free-to-play users must otherwise earn or purchase.
Early supporters are granted the following benefits:
- Full unlock of all current Neighbors, including the newly released Gwen.
- A Premium Neighborhood Pass for the launch season.
- Exclusive “P.A Flames” character skins.
The game is currently available for download through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Steam. For new players joining at the 1.0 launch, the free-to-play version provides access to the core gameplay loop, while the premium pass offers a separate progression track for cosmetic items and in-game currency.
