Team17 has released a new update for Hell Let Loose across console and PC platforms. This update focuses on resolving a major tactical exploit involving tunnel placement and stabilizing graphical performance across different hardware configurations, specifically for Windows Store players.
Major Gameplay and Exploit Fixes
The most significant change in this patch addresses an exploit that allowed players to connect tunnels to pre-placed Garrisons without any distance restrictions. By removing this loophole, the developer has restored the intended tactical limitations on spawn point proximity, ensuring defenders cannot bypass standard deployment rules.
Combat fluidity has also been improved with a fix for visual stuttering. Previously, players using mounted guns or operating as Tank Gunners experienced graphical hitches when moving the camera. This patch synchronizes weapon rendering with camera movement to eliminate the jarring effect during high-intensity engagements.
Graphics and Stability Improvements
This update brings technical parity to the Windows Store version of the game by introducing DLSS as an Image Reconstruction option. Alongside this addition, the development team resolved a specific stability conflict between DLSS and FSR that had been causing crashes and performance issues for players using both AMD and NVIDIA GPUs.
General stability has been bolstered through two specific technical fixes:
- PSO Streaming: Resolved a crash related to Pipeline State Object (PSO) streaming for decals.
- Bone Indexing: Fixed a game engine crash triggered by bone indexing errors.
Additional technical details regarding these performance optimizations can be found on SteamDB.
Admin Camera Changes
For those managing servers, the Admin Camera has received a functional update to improve match oversight. Markers for enemy players are now visible alongside friendly markers while using the camera, providing administrators with a more comprehensive view of the battlefield for monitoring fair play and match flow.
While the console versioning appears as 1.003.000 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, it contains the same internal build changes as the v1.4.2 PC release.
