Battlestate Games has released patch 1.1.5.1 for Escape From Tarkov, introducing a competitive Leagues system and resolving issues with optic alignment at high FOV settings. The update primarily targets Seasonal characters and combat precision.
The Seasonal Leagues System
The centerpiece of update 1.1.5.1 is the Leagues system, a competitive structure designed exclusively for Seasonal characters.
- Leaderboard Structure: Players are placed into leaderboards consisting of 50 people.
- Weekly Transitions: The system operates on a weekly cycle where the top 25 players in a group are promoted to the next tier, while the bottom 10 players are demoted.
- Progression Restrictions: Experience earned in EFT: Arena is explicitly excluded from League leaderboard progress. This ensures that leaderboard standing is tied directly to gameplay within the main client.
FOV and Aiming Corrections
Update 1.1.5.1 addresses several mechanical discrepancies involving Field of View (FOV) settings. The most significant fix ensures that magnified optics now align correctly with the reticle when the FOV is set above the minimum value. Previously, higher FOV settings could cause an offset in the point of aim through high-magnification scopes.
Additional combat and optical fixes include:
- Laser Accuracy: Corrected a bug where laser devices would deviate during automatic hip fire at FOV settings higher than the minimum.
- Hybrid Optic Performance: Resolved performance drops that occurred when using red dot or iron sights on hybrid optics, such as the ELCAN SpecterDR.
General Fixes and Adjustments
Beyond the competitive and mechanical overhauls, the patch includes maintenance for the in-game economy. Battlestate Games has corrected the pricing calculations for ammo packs when selling them to traders. According to the official patch notes, these changes are now live for Seasonal characters.
