John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando Update 1.008.100 Patch Notes (v3.1)

Published on:

Saber Interactive has released update 1.008.100 (Patch v3.1) for John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando on September 14, 2026. The update focuses on resolving progression-blocking bugs in Retrieval mode and stabilizing AI behavior during high-intensity missions.

Mission-Specific Fixes

The patch primarily targets issues within the mission-based structure that prevented players from completing objectives. In the ‘Demon Bait’ Retrieval mode, players previously encountered a bug where spare parts would not appear, stalling progress; this has been corrected. Additionally, the ‘Deliver Us’ mission saw adjustments to bot behavior to ensure AI companions remain viable during contamination phases.

  • Demon Bait: Fixed an issue in Retrieval mode where spare parts were unavailable for collection.
  • Deliver Us: Bots will no longer take unintended contamination damage after players disconnect or after the contamination effect has officially ended.
  • High Octane: Adjusted the anti-sludge vehicle spawn in Retrieval mode so it no longer appears in plain view during the final phase.

Gameplay and Mechanic Adjustments

Several mechanical errors affecting combat and teammate interaction have been addressed in this version. Most notably, a fix has been implemented for the revival mechanic, which previously prevented players from assisting teammates in the Incapacitated state. Changes have also been made to environmental interactions and enemy animations to prevent gameplay loops from breaking.

  • Revival Mechanic: Resolved a bug that prevented players from reviving teammates in the Incapacitated state.
  • Gas Cans: Fixed an interaction bug that allowed players to pick up exploded gas cans from vehicle slots.
  • Enemy Animations: Goon enemies will no longer become stuck in heavy-hit animation cycles when damaged by Saw Traps.

Visual and Character Updates

In addition to gameplay fixes, update 1.008.100 includes minor cosmetic corrections for character models. Specifically, Astrid’s default hair has been adjusted to prevent it from clipping through equipped headgear. These stability and visual updates are now live across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Players experiencing further technical issues can find more information at Saber Support.
