Deck of Haunts Arrives on Consoles and Nintendo Switch 2 This October

Mantis Games and DANGEN Entertainment have confirmed that the deck-building strategy title Deck of Haunts will arrive on consoles on October 8, 2026. The release marks a comprehensive multi-generational launch, with the game scheduled for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, alongside the Nintendo Switch 2.

The console debut follows the game’s initial PC release on May 7, 2025. Rather than a standard port, the upcoming version serves as a culmination of more than 17 months of development and refinement. It will include all content updates and mechanical overhauls introduced since the original PC launch, effectively serving as a “complete edition” for new players.

Expanded Content and Strategy

The console version features a revamped mission and story system, integrated meta-progression, and expanded deck-building options. Among the most significant additions is the “Nightmare Mode,” which offers 13 increasingly difficult levels designed to test the player’s mastery of haunted house management.

The strategic loop has also been deepened through mechanical shifts developed during the game’s first year. For instance, room size now plays a pivotal role in human navigation. Larger rooms are designed to keep visitors occupied for a higher number of turns.

A Legacy of Updates

By launching on both current and last-gen hardware—as well as Nintendo’s next-generation console—the release ensures broad accessibility for the strategy title. The console package integrates over a year of content updates and improvements introduced since the PC release.

According to reporting from Turn Based Lovers, these updates focus on the evolution of the game’s core mechanics, ensuring that the tactical depth of the room-building and visitor-management systems is fully realized for the console audience. Players will be able to utilize a wide array of creative haunting options and specialized room layouts that have been balanced through over a year of community feedback on Steam.
