Published on:

EA Sports FC 27 Title Update 1.0.1 (Build 1.000.004 on PS5) was released on September 23, 2026, serving as the launch-day patch for the football simulation. The update focuses on stabilizing “The Grounds,” the open-world social hub for Clubs mode, and refining the “Authentic Gameplay” preset used in offline environments.

The Grounds and Clubs Refinements

As the successor to traditional menu-based lobbies, The Grounds receives several technical and mechanical fixes. This update specifically addresses connectivity and skill expression within the new environment.

  • Skill Moves: Restored the ability for eligible avatars to perform 5 Star Skill Moves during Street Football matches within The Grounds.
  • Network Stability: Resolved an issue where players experienced unexpectedly high ping during League Matches within The Grounds.
  • Stamina Mechanics: Increased the effect of fatigue on long-term player stamina for 11v11 matches played in the social hub.

Authentic Gameplay and Simulation Adjustments

EA Sports has adjusted the default slider values for the “Authentic Gameplay” preset. These changes are exclusive to non-competitive modes such as Career Mode and Kick Off. Both Jockey Speed and Sprint Jockey Speed sliders have been increased to better align with simulation pacing.

General Fixes and UI

The patch also addresses specific crashes and platform-specific audio bugs.

  • Ultimate Team: Fixed a UI freeze that occurred in the “Filter Evolutions By Player” menu when selecting an incompatible Player Item.
  • Nintendo Switch: Fixed a bug preventing players from accessing DLC commentary languages, even if the files were already installed on the console.

This update arrives ahead of the global release of EA Sports FC 27 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
