Halloween Game Update 1.008 Patch Notes (Day 1 Patch 1.0.1)

Published on:

Halloween: The Game received an update, version 1.0.1 (labeled as 1.008 on PlayStation 5), on September 8, 2026. This patch focuses on rebalancing civilian stamina to adjust power curves and fixing progression bugs that prevented players from unlocking specific achievements.

Stamina and Athleticism Rebalancing

Development has adjusted the Athleticism skill tier to flatten the power curve between players. These changes target the regeneration rates and maximum stamina available at different levels of progression.

  • Athleticism Levels 1-4: These early tiers received buffs to exhausted duration and stamina regeneration rates.
  • Athleticism Levels 6-10: These high-level tiers received nerfs to maximum stamina and regeneration rates.

Michael Myers and Stalk Mechanics

The update introduces a specific debuff for survivors being hunted by Michael Myers. Stalked targets now suffer from reduced stamina regeneration and an increased regeneration delay. The severity of these penalties scales based on Michael’s current Stalk level.

Gameplay and Loadout Restrictions

The patch implements a new restriction on Perk Decks, limiting players to a maximum of two copies of the same perk within a single deck. Additionally, public matchmaking now uses a full-rotation map logic, preventing repeats until all maps in the pool have been played.

Bug Fixes and Technical Improvements

The 1.0.1 update also addresses several technical issues:

  • Cross-play Stability: Fixed an issue where cross-play party members would not correctly follow the party leader when entering matchmade lobbies.
  • Achievements: Resolved a progression bug that prevented the Chapter 5 achievement from unlocking for eligible players.

These changes aim to adjust the meta by making survival less dependent on high-level stamina pools.
