Marvel’s Wolverine update 1.001.006, released on September 26, 2026, introduces new customization toggles for Logan’s Senses to address player feedback regarding environmental guidance. This hotfix follows the game’s initial launch on September 15, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro.
Senses Customization and UI Toggles
The primary addition in this update is the ability for players to manually enable or disable specific indicators within Logan’s Senses. These toggles allow for a more minimalist UI by removing visual and audio elements that were previously permanent.
- Whisky Bottle Scent Trails: Players can now toggle the blue smoke/scent trails that lead to collectible bottles.
- Material Crate Audio Clues: The audio pings associated with nearby upgrade materials can be disabled.
- Nightmare Door Roots: The purple root indicators used to identify Nightmare Doors can now be toggled off.
According to Insomniac Games Support, story-critical Senses will remain active in the game world regardless of these settings to ensure players do not miss mandatory progression cues.
Mission and Gameplay Fixes
The patch resolves a specific progression blocker in “The One That Got Away.” Previously, some players reported becoming stuck while sliding down a tree during this sequence. Update 1.001.006 corrects the error responsible for the stall.
Other technical and visual fixes include:
- Photo Mode: Addressed an issue where Wolverine’s claws would appear misaligned.
- Stability: Fixed a rare graphical bug that caused environmental objects to turn white after extended play sessions.
- Environment: Resolved a UV mapping error in the casino level that caused a bathroom sign to overlap with other textures.
The update is currently live for all PlayStation 5 users.
