The fast-paced roguelite shooter VOID/BREAKER is scheduled to exit Early Access and launch in version 1.0 on November 4, 2026. Developed by Daniel Stubbington of Stubby Games, the title will arrive simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
Microsoft has confirmed that VOID/BREAKER will be available on Xbox Game Pass on its launch day, providing immediate access to subscribers on console and PC.

The move to a full release marks a significant transition for the project, which first entered Steam Early Access on August 19, 2025. While Stubbington is perhaps best known for the puzzle-heavy mechanics of The Entropy Centre, this solo-developed follow-up shifts the focus toward high-velocity combat and environmental physics.
Destruction-Based Resource Management
The core of VOID/BREAKER’s gameplay loop revolves around a mechanic described as “Explosive Strategy.” Unlike many shooters that rely on traditional loot drops or stationary pickups, this title requires players to actively dismantle their surroundings to survive.
According to reported gameplay details, collapsing structures and destroying environmental assets serves a dual purpose: it stuns nearby enemies and forces the world to drop essential healing and ammunition items. This system creates a constant tension between preserving cover and destroying it to replenish resources.
Movement and Combat Flow
To complement the destructive physics, the game utilizes a high-mobility movement system designed to keep players aggressive. The toolkit includes:
- A dash maneuver equipped with invincibility frames for dodging incoming fire.
- Wall-running and sliding mechanics for vertical and horizontal traversal.
- A grappling hook and gravity tethers for rapid repositioning across arenas.
The combination of these mechanics allows for a “push-forward” combat style where the environment is used as both a weapon and a supply cache. Following its 2025 Early Access debut at a $19.99 price point, the 1.0 launch this November represents the finalized vision of the project as it expands to its first console audience.
