Netmarble is expanding the Solo Leveling universe with Solo Leveling: KARMA, which centers on a narrative period previously unexplored in the original webtoon. The game is set during the 27-year Monarch War within the Dimensional Gap, a timeline that follows Sung Jinwoo’s use of the Cup of Reincarnation to reset the world’s history.
While previous adaptations have focused on Jinwoo’s rise as a hunter, Solo Leveling: KARMA introduces a significant mechanical shift by making members of the Shadow Army directly playable. According to Inven Global, the current build showcased at the Tokyo Game Show 2026 features eight playable characters, including iconic shadows like Iron and Igris. Unlike the “summon” mechanic seen in earlier titles, players now control these entities directly within a system that offers over 200 distinct buffs to customize combat runs.

The production also introduces new high-profile talent to the franchise’s English voice cast. Troy Baker has been cast as Antares, the Monarch of Destruction, serving as the primary antagonist. Baker joins returning lead Aleks Le, who reprises his role as Sung Jinwoo. This narrative focus on the “untold” war allows the developers to introduce story elements and character interactions that occur outside the bounds of the established webtoon canon.
Pre-registration for the title opened on September 16, 2026, across the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Netmarble Neo has confirmed several digital incentives for early registrants, including a “Sung Jinwoo Predator Outfit” and a “Shadow Monarch Halo” cosmetic item.
