Riot Games released Valorant update 13.06 (1.000.111) on September 22, 2026, introducing a new primary weapon, the Warden rifle, and a total replacement of the legacy Average Combat Score system. The update is now live across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and marks the official console launch for players in Australia and New Zealand.

The Warden Rifle

The Warden joins the 2900-credit tier alongside the Vandal and Phantom as a high-precision alternative. Unlike other rifles in its price bracket, the Warden features a 2x magnification scope and a smaller 18-round magazine. Its damage profile is consistent at all distances, dealing 50 damage for body shots and 200 damage for headshots, ensuring a single-shot kill against players with heavy shields regardless of range.

Performance Score and System Overhauls

This update removes the traditional Average Combat Score (ACS) in favor of a new metric called Performance Score. This system uses a 0–500 scale to measure a player’s total contribution to a match. This shift aims to provide a more comprehensive view of impact beyond just damage and kill counts.

Players also gain a long-requested quality-of-life feature: the ability to enter the Range for practice or warm-ups while remaining in a matchmaking queue.

Gauntlet: Glitched 2v2 Mode

A new limited-time mode, Gauntlet: Glitched, makes its debut in this patch. The mode features the following mechanics:

  • Format: 2v2 combat featuring eight duos.
  • Drafting: Players use a randomized Agent ability drafting system rather than standard loadouts.

Agent Mastery and Progression

Riot has introduced the Agent Mastery system, which tracks individual progress for every agent in the roster. This system is split into two distinct categories:

  • Act Levels: These levels reset at the end of every Act.
  • Lifetime Levels: Permanent progression that persists across the life of the account.
  • Rewards: Players can unlock Mastery rewards using Kingdom Credits.

Vanguard and Voice Evaluation Updates

The official patch notes detail an expansion of Riot’s Voice Evaluation system, which now includes detection coverage for Spanish, Portuguese, and Korean languages. Additionally, the Vanguard anti-cheat team reported a significant crackdown on “boosting” services, stating they have banned approximately 90,000 accounts since July 20, averaging 1,600 bans per day.
