Logitech G Launches RS Series with $900 McLaren Bundle to Bridge Sim Racing Gap

Logitech G has expanded its sim racing ecosystem with the launch of the Racing Series (RS), a modular lineup designed to bridge the gap between its entry-level G923 and the enthusiast-grade PRO Series. The flagship of the announcement is the RS50 McLaren Racing Bundle, a complete direct-drive setup developed in partnership with the Formula 1 team.

The RS50 McLaren Racing Bundle is priced at $899.99 and centers on a direct-drive wheel base capable of 8 Nm of torque. The package includes the RS Formula Wheel, the RS Wheel Hub, and a set of RS Pedals. Notably, the pedals in this bundle feature a 75 kg load-cell brake, which measures pressure rather than travel to more accurately simulate the braking feel of a real race car.

Modular Integration and Standalone Components

The RS Series introduces a modular approach to Logitech’s racing hardware, allowing users to mix and match components within the existing PRO Racing ecosystem. This compatibility is facilitated by a Quick Release (QR) adapter system, ensuring that RS wheels and hubs can be used with PRO Series wheelbases.

Logitech is also targeting PC racers with more accessible entry points for high-fidelity hardware. The standalone RS50 wheelbase (PC version) is priced at approximately $349.99, offering a lower price point than the higher-torque PRO wheelbase. This positioning effectively lowers the barrier to entry for direct-drive technology while maintaining a path for future hardware upgrades.

RS Pedals SE and Sensor Technology

Accompanying the new wheel hardware are the RS Pedals SE, a new modular pedal option. While the McLaren bundle includes load-cell technology, the SE version utilizes Hall-effect sensors for both the brake and accelerator. These magnetic sensors are designed to provide long-term durability and precision by removing physical contact points that typically wear out over time in entry-level hardware.

The new lineup positions the RS Series as a mid-range alternative for sim racers who have outgrown gear-driven wheels but are not yet ready to invest in the premium PRO tier. By offering components like the RS Wheel Hub and standalone bases separately, the ecosystem allows for incremental upgrades across the Logitech G racing product line.
