Control Resonant Update 1.400.100 (v1.4.1) Restores Dash Momentum

Published on:

Remedy Entertainment released the Control Resonant 1.400.100 update (v1.4.1) on October 2, 2026, across PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. The primary change in this patch is the restoration of momentum transfer between the Dash and Elevate abilities, a mechanic that had been non-functional in recent builds.

Restoration of “Skating” Mechanics

The restoration of Dash-to-Elevate momentum allows players to carry velocity from a dash directly into an elevation. This interaction effectively brings back the “skating” traversal technique. By preserving the speed of the dash during the transition to flight, players regain a significant degree of mobility that was previously restricted.

Quest and Progression Fixes

The update addresses a specific progression block in “The Park Resonant” quest. Players previously reported an inability to interact with or “eat” Mold during this segment, which prevented further advancement. While this interaction is now functional, the patch notes acknowledge that the Trusted Spanner artifact, obtained through the dog questline, may still fail to trigger correctly or award completion status.

Acknowledged Known Issues

Despite the fixes to quest interactions, several significant issues remain in the current 1.4.1 build. These affect both endgame content and combat balance:

  • Missing NPC: Underhill is currently missing from the Park area.
  • Carbon Copy 3 Boss: This boss encounter can remain invincible and non-aggressive depending on the player’s current quest state.
  • Combat Staggers: Heavy attacks no longer function as intended against mini-bosses, failing to stagger or launch them.

This hotfix follows the earlier Update 1.300.300, which focused on broader balance by reducing enemy health and increasing the strength caps for Dylan’s abilities. While the 1.4.1 update restores technical movement, players tracking the mold-related subplots will need to wait for a subsequent fix to address Underhill’s disappearance from the Park area.
