Halloween Game Update 1.013 Patch Notes (v1.0.4) on Sept. 26, 2026

Boss Team Games released update 1.0.4 for Halloween: The Game, introducing a significant technical shift for Xbox Series S players and resolving bugs affecting Michael Myers’ grab mechanics. While the developer identifies the build as version 1.0.4, PlayStation 5 players will see the update listed as version 1.013.000, reflecting console-specific versioning.

Xbox Series S Graphical Overhaul

The update implements a new graphics profile for the Xbox Series S that removes the Quality and Performance toggles. The console is now capped at 30 FPS. This adjustment allows the hardware to support hair physics and improved texture quality.

Gameplay Balance and Grab Fixes

Several issues impacting the balance between Michael Myers and the Civilians have been addressed. A primary focus was Michael’s Bloodthirst Level 3, which previously made escaping his grabs harder for Civilians than intended. This mechanic has been tuned to ensure escapes are consistent with design goals. Specific fixes include:

  • Grab Escape Difficulty: Fixed an issue where Bloodthirst Level 3 unintentionally increased the difficulty of escaping Michael’s grabs.
  • Uneven Terrain: Resolved a bug where Civilians would take fall damage if they successfully escaped a grab while standing on uneven ground.

Dr. Loomis and System Stability

Dr. Loomis serves as a reinforcement character. Prior to this patch, his arrival often triggered performance drops or game crashes. According to the official patch notes, these spawning issues have been resolved.

General stability improvements have also been applied across all platforms to address crashes that occurred when completing Story Missions or while loading into matches.
