Respawn Entertainment has released update 1.000.134 for Apex Legends on September 14, 2026. Available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, the patch introduces substantial balance shifts for Legend upgrades and significant nerfs to the high-mobility Legend, Axle.
Legend Rebalances and Upgrades
The primary focus of this update is the adjustment of Legend power levels, particularly targeting Axle’s mobility and durability. Additionally, Fuse and Conduit have received reworks to their upgrade paths and passive abilities.
- Axle: The Nitro Gate launch speed has been reduced from 750 to 700. The health of Axle’s Ultimate has also been lowered from 200 to 150.
- Fuse: Fuse’s passive now includes a permanent 25% Explosive Damage Resistance. He can also highlight ordinance within a 30-meter range.
- Conduit: A new Level 2 upgrade called “Concurrency” allows Conduit to fire her Energy Barricade a second time without a cooldown, provided it is used within 10 seconds of the first.
These changes address Axle’s dominance by making his traversal tools slower and his Ultimate easier for opposing squads to destroy. The buffs to Fuse provide him with higher survivability against explosives.
Weapon and Loot Adjustments
Weapon meta adjustments in this patch favor marksman rifles and early-game consistency. According to the Electronic Arts patch notes, the Triple Take has received two specific buffs: an increased rate of fire while aiming down sights (ADS) and an increase in blue magazine capacity from 8 to 9 rounds.
The Weapon Assist mechanic has also been expanded. Players will now find that any base weapon in the loot pool can spawn in the very first loot bin they open during a match. This change is intended to reduce early-game RNG and ensure players can find a primary weapon immediately upon landing.
Map Fixes and Ranked Schedule
Electronic Arts and Respawn have implemented over 150 map fixes in this build. These updates specifically target collision and terrain issues on World’s Edge, with a focus on cleaning up geometry in the East Village and Sorting Factory locations to prevent players from getting stuck or exploiting unintended sightlines.
The competitive schedule for the remainder of the season has been finalized. Ranked Ladders will operate in six distinct blocks, starting on September 22 and concluding on November 1, 2026.
