Developer Shift Up has released a new “Bayonetta Collaboration Vignette” trailer for Stellar Blade alongside the immediate launch of a playable demo for the Nintendo Switch 2. The announcements, made during Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2026, provide a detailed look at the upcoming crossover content and the technical specifications for the game’s debut on Nintendo’s latest hardware.
The collaboration brings four free couture outfits for EVE inspired by the Bayonetta series. These cosmetic additions include a standard Bayonetta-style look, a Nun disguise, a costume inspired by the character Jeanne, and an original tribute design titled “Black Tresses.” While the trailer highlights these items on the new hardware, Shift Up confirmed the Bayonetta update will be free for existing players on PlayStation 5 and PC starting November 5, 2026.
Stellar Blade Complete Edition Release Details
The full release of Stellar Blade Complete Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2 is scheduled for November 5, 2026, in North America. This version is being positioned as a definitive package, featuring the base game and all previously released DLC, including the NieR: Automata and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE collaborations.
According to Games Press, the physical edition of the game will utilize a 32GB cartridge, allowing the entire experience to be played without the requirement of a secondary large-scale download. Physical pre-orders are expected to include several bonuses, such as a Limited Edition SteelBook and the Planet Diving Suit (White Edition) and Stargazer outfit sets for EVE.
Switch 2 Technical Performance
The demo released on September 20 provides an early look at how the title scales to the Switch 2 hardware. The Complete Edition supports 4K resolution at 60Hz when played in docked mode. In handheld mode, the game targets a 1080p resolution while supporting refresh rates up to 120Hz.
Players who download the demo can experience the opening stages of the game, though it has not yet been confirmed if progress from the demo will carry over to the final retail release in November. The demo serves to showcase the visual fidelity achieved on the new platform, maintaining the high-action combat and detailed character models seen in previous versions on more powerful hardware.
