The multiplayer action dungeon runner Marked for Mayhem made its world premiere during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct on September 20, 2026. Developed by Bladework Games, an independent studio of approximately 40 employees, the title introduces a “shared mission, individual glory” gameplay loop that forces players to cooperate for survival while competing for the highest score in an interdimensional tournament.
Set in the fractured world of Galus, players take on the roles of “Operators” navigating dangerous environments. While the primary objective requires a four-player squad to overcome PvE threats and clear the dungeon, the game’s internal economy encourages players to undermine their teammates to secure the top spot on the leaderboard. This competitive cooperation is driven by a unique “Disruptor” mechanic.

Disruptors are specialized abilities designed specifically for sabotage within a cooperative setting. Unlike standard combat skills used to defeat enemies, these abilities allow players to actively hinder their “allies” to steal resources or ensure they are the sole survivors of an encounter. According to developer details, this creates a high-stakes environment where the greatest threat to a player is often the person standing next to them.
Bladework Games has focused the experience on these “PvP-lite” elements within a traditional dungeon-running structure. The game is currently slated for release on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. While the official release date has not yet been finalized by the studio, a placeholder window of 2027 has appeared on some digital storefront listings.
For those looking to test the sabotage mechanics early, a limited beta test sign-up period has opened on the game’s official channels. This early phase is expected to focus on balancing the Disruptor abilities and testing the stability of the 4-player multiplayer environment before the full launch.
